Offering a Unique Experience

WILD Zoological Park Outreach Programs offer a unique opportunity to bring the wonders of wildlife directly to your school or event. Here’s what makes our outreach programs stand out

Interactive Animal Encounters

Our outreaches bring a selection of incredible animals right to your location, providing a close-up experience. Students or participants get to see and learn about fascinating creatures that they might not encounter in their everyday lives.

Tailored Educational Experiences

Each outreach program is designed to meet your specific needs, whether it’s aligning with curriculum topics, age groups, or special themes. Our sessions aim to educate about wildlife, conservation, and ecosystems in an engaging and age-appropriate way.

Expert Animal Presenters

Our knowledgeable keepers lead each outreach, sharing their passion and expertise. They provide in-depth information about the animals’ natural habitats, behaviours, and conservation, all while making the session interactive and fun.

Hands-On Learning

Many of our outreach programs allow for safe, hands-on interactions with animals. This unique experience helps foster a deeper understanding and connection between students and wildlife.

Flexible and Convenient

We bring everything needed for the session, making it an easy and hassle-free experience for schools or organisations. Our programs can be adjusted for different group sizes and settings.

WILD Outreach KS1Exploring Animals

Exploring Animals  – Early Years & Year One

Our Exploring Animal outreach program brings a selection of fascinating creatures directly into early years settings, providing hands-on, multisensory learning that builds empathy, curiosity, and a deep respect for living things. Through guided interactions and age-appropriate activities, children not only observe these animal ambassadors but also develop social-emotional skills, resilience, and foundational science knowledge.

Happy Habitats – Year Two

This is an engaging outreach program designed for Year 2 pupils (ages 6–7), bringing the concept of animal homes to life. Through live animal ambassadors, interactive demonstrations, and hands-on activities, children explore how different species build and inhabit their shelters. By connecting science knowledge with social-emotional learning, Happy Habitats helps young learners appreciate the importance of homes—for animals, people, and our shared planet.

WILD Outreach LKS2 Options

A look inside – Year Three

This is an interactive in-school program for Year 3 pupils (ages 7–8) that explores the human and animal digestive and skeletal systems through live demonstrations, hands-on models, and engaging activities. Over a 45-minute session, students will discover how food is broken down and nutrients are absorbed, and how bones support, protect, and enable movement. Aligned with the National Curriculum, this session builds scientific vocabulary and enquiry skills while fostering curiosity about the inner workings of our bodies.

Animals and their Environments – Year Four

Animals and Their Environments is a Year 4 outreach session that deepens pupils’ understanding of how living things are classified and how environmental changes—both natural and human-driven—impact habitats. Through engaging activities, students will explore classification keys to group a variety of plants and animals, investigate examples of habitat change across seasons and due to human actions, and discuss the implications for biodiversity. This program aligns with the National Curriculum for Year 4 Science and fosters scientific enquiry, critical thinking, and environmental stewardship.

WILD Outreach UKS2 Options

The Circle of Life – Year Five

This a Year 5 science unit that explores sexual reproduction in animals, the use of classification keys, and the stages of diverse life cycles. Over a in-school visit, pupils will investigate how animals reproduce, practise grouping organisms by shared characteristics, and compare the life cycles of mammals, amphibians, insects, and birds. Aligned with the UK National Curriculum, this hands-on program builds scientific vocabulary, enquiry skills, and a deeper understanding of biodiversity.

Prehistoric Planet – Year Six

This a Year 6 science outreach session that immerses pupils in the story of life on Earth through fossilisation, evolution, and variation. Students will discover how fossils form and what they reveal about extinct organisms, explore the work of pioneering palaeontologists such as Mary Anning, and understand the mechanisms of natural selection and inherited traits. Hands-on activities, including creating mock fossils and simulating evolutionary change, build enquiry skills and scientific vocabulary aligned with the National Curriculum.

Whole SchoolOutreach

Our whole-school outreach options are fully adaptable. If there’s something specific you’re focusing on—whether it’s part of an Eco-Schools initiative, sustainability project, Science Week, or another theme—just let us know, and we’ll tailor the experience to suit your goals.

Mrs M Chahal, Akaal Primary School, Derby

We were thrilled to host Wild Zoological Park at Akaal Primary today! The whole school enjoyed an incredible afternoon full of interactive, educational fun.

The zookeepers presented Happy Habitats, which had explicit links to the Science National Curriculum coverage—it was clear that the staff had an educational background, as their behavior management and interaction with our pupils were exceptional.

They also spoke about sustainability, eco-schools, and the conservation of endangered species, highlighting why these efforts are so important. As a virtues-led school, the links to charity-based organisations such as VulPro fit perfectly with virtues such as compassion and respect.

The children were amazed to see owls, parrots, snakes, and more right in their own school—we even experienced tropical storms with special effects!

I strongly urge you to book this experience—cultural capital at its very best, giving our pupils the experiences they deserve and ones that will last a lifetime!

Thank you for your hard work and efforts, we will certainly be booking again next year.

S.Mercer, St Lukes Cannock

Thank you so much for the time that you spent with the children on Wednesday. They thoroughly enjoyed the session and one of the children even said ‘ It was the best day they had ever had in school’.

In terms of staff, we thought the session was fantastic. We loved that the session was not your typical touch the animals. There was plenty of interactive time and time for the children to see and feel the animals, but the session was underpinned by curriculum learning. We really liked how closely aligned it was to the national curriculum. The bird flights made the session for the children and they were talking so excitedly about this after you left. We look forward to welcoming you into school again when you visit our Year 5’s.

Once again, thank you for the session on Wednesday.

J Morgan, Little Woodlings Nursery

Georgia and Poppy visited us at Little Woodlings nursery and we had the best time! They catered so well for all our aged children 2 to 4 years old, we sang songs, we met Buzz and became zoo explorers! Wild zoo is such an amazing experience we would highly recommend a visit from them into your setting!
