Our Vision

“To teach, educate and conserve wildlife”

Wild delivers its educational message through a range of educational talks, shows and demonstrations. These focus on scientific facts, conservation status’ etc and the role of the modern zoo. This is to empower people to take positive action for wildlife and our environment.

Display are to demonstrate or extend the animal’s natural ability and show behaviours that are of intrinsic value to the species not to be compromised with ‘performing’ unnatural acts or humanise such species. They focus on endangered species and to give good reason to why they exist in zoos, sharing information on conservation issues and their relevant breeding programmes within zoos as well as reintroduction programs. In no way should the animal’s welfare is to be compromised through demonstrations; such demonstrations are in place to improve welfare ie. Free-flying birds. Animals are always presented in ways that inspire respect for wildlife and nature.

Education is to encourage local action through relating guests to issues of their own lives and experiences.
