Friends of WILD Zoo

At WILD, we believe everyone deserves the best day out – no matter who you are or what language you speak. That’s why we always go the extra mile to make sure every single visitor has a truly special experience.

For example we had the pleasure of welcoming a group of 40 French-speaking adults, thanks to the Kinver Twinning Association . Our amazing team of keepers pulled together to present the Wild Wonders Show in both French and English – making sure everyone could enjoy the magic!

A massive merci to a past keeper Daniel, who kindly provided French translations for each of the animals in the demonstration – your effort made a big difference!

Meet VickieOur Resident Photographer

Vickie has been part of the WILD family since around 2018, and she’s as much a part of the zoo as the animals themselves. With a passion for both photography and wildlife, she’s a familiar and friendly face to staff, visitors, and animals alike.
Her camera is always at the ready, capturing special moments—especially during bird training sessions—and many of the stunning images you’ll see across our website are thanks to her keen eye and dedication.

Vickie has a special place in her heart for all our animals, but she holds a particular soft spot for our otters, Louie and Mara. In fact, she even gifted them a donation at Christmas to support their care.

She’s known for spoiling the keepers with tasty snacks and thoughtful treats, joking that she treats us like her grandchildren. WILD Zoo is truly her happy place—and we can’t imagine it without her.

Meet DaisyRaising Awareness

We were thrilled to receive this photo of an amazing Easter school project today, raising awareness for WILD!
Daisy is a familiar face at the zoo, and we are so pleased she chose to represent us. It’s clear a lot of thought and effort went into this—Daisy, you’d definitely get our vote!

Inspiring young minds like Daisy’s is at the heart of what we do. Future generations play a vital role in protecting wildlife, and seeing such passion for conservation gives us so much hope!

We can’t wait to welcome her to our upcoming Junior Keeper Day—and we have to say, the brand-new WILD merchandise looks fantastic on her!
