JNR Zookeeper Day !
Do you know a young aspiring zoo keeper? The WILD! Explorers Society experience offers young people aged 7-13 years old the chance to spend a day learning about a range of species and what it takes to be a zookeeper for our wonderfully unique animals from cleaning and feeding to habitat design and enrichment making workshop.
Price includes the experience itself, a packed lunch prepared by the chefs of Halfpenny Estate. The experience begins at 10am and finishes at 3pm.
During Part 2 of the course, Explorers will delve into hands on interactive activities, including animal training, collaborative enrichment design and conservation awareness, to see what it really takes to be a zookeeper! With links to our WILD! Curriculum, centred around 4 pillars: Discovery, Collaboration, Inner Strength and Responsibility.
After completion of Part 1 and Part 2 you will have exclusive access to WILD discounts, the WILD Explorer Society Members page and so much more.
Children do not to be accompanied by an adult. All our staff are DBS certified. Participants can be dropped at the zoo at 10am and picked up at 3pm.
