The below experiences need to be booked in advance. Mini V.I.Ps with one animal species can be booked on arrival but we can not guarantee availability so always best to book ahead of your visit.
1 hour V.I.P EXPERIENCE
Spend an hour with one of our expert zoo keepers and head around the zoo feeding all the animals their breakfast. Most of the animals included on the experience are safe to go in with. Including meerkats and ring tailed lemurs, mini monkeys, armadillos and more. Some are fed from a safe difference including otters and servals.
This experience is suitable for children 6+ but can also be tailored for adults.
Limited offer price of £100 (including zoo entry for the day for the participant)
A second participant can be added (+£80)

Non participating accompanyment guests just need general zoo admission tickets.

JUNIOR ZOO KEEPER DAY
Do you know a young aspiring zoo keeper?
The Junior Keeper day experience offers young people aged 7-13 years old the chance to spend a day learning about a range of species and what it takes to be a zookeeper for our wonderfully unique animals from cleaning and feeding to habitat design and enrichment making workshop.
The course is lead by Keeper Ben and our expert team of zoologists. It features a hands on learning enviroment and lots of opportunity to get stuck in! Delegates also get the inside scoop on how our animal husbandry team take care of living collections day to day including habitat and enclosure design, enrichment, speciality zoo diets, design of talks and displays, veterinary procedures and more!
Price includes the experience itself, a packed lunch prepared by the chefs of Halfpenny Green Wine Estate. A Wild Zoological Park junior keeper T-shirt and a zoo keeper lanyard.
The experience begins at 10am and finishes at 3pm.
In a small group, you will arrive at the zoo for an induction with Keeper Ben and the rest of our team of expert zoo keepers.
Once kitted up, you're ready to join the team!
Visit each animal section to get a taster of what it's like to look after our animals. You'll be cleaning, feeding, and making up enrichment. Ask our experts everything you've ever wanted to know about zookeeping and receive a certificate at the end!
This is a hands on interactive experience including animal handling, craft, talks and demonstrations.
Children do not to be accompanied by an adult. All our staff are DBS certified. Participants can be dropped at the zoo at 10am and picked up at 3pm.
