Our SustainabilityMission

Proud BIAZA Members

At WILD, we acknowledge that there’s significant room for improvement when it comes to sustainability—and we’re ready to take action. We’re committed to developing and implementing a clear sustainability plan, with the goal of making meaningful, lasting changes across our organisation.

As a proud BIAZA-accredited zoo, we believe in leading by example. We’re dedicated to creating a more sustainable society by embedding environmental responsibility into everything we do—from daily operations to visitor engagement and education.

Our goal is to maximise the positive impact of our conservation work while reducing our environmental footprint. We ensure our practices meet current legislation and align with recognised environmental standards, including the use of FSC-certified timber, MSC-certified fish, and adherence to BIAZA’s Environmental Sustainability Guidance.

We’re committed to continuous improvement. This means regularly measuring and reporting on our sustainability performance, using evidence-based decision-making, and drawing on recent carbon literacy training. Collaboration is at the heart of our approach as we work together toward a greener, more responsible future.

We’re currently working towards obtaining the Green Tourism Award!
